KANNAPOLIS - The family of the late Dale Earnhardt was honored today in Kannapolis for something that the NASCAR legend did twenty years ago. In 1994 Earnhardt donated the proceeds from the 1993 Dale Earnhardt Day in Kannapolis to start the Kannapolis Education Foundation. It amounted to $30,000.
